During the upcoming price period starting from October 1, 2024, the energy price for the "Louna Vehreä" electricity contract will increase by approximately 22% for general electricity, around 19% for day energy of night electricity, and about 20% for night energy compared to April 1, 2024.
The procurement price of electricity remained stable throughout the pricing period. A slight price increase was observed in the spring due to lower than normal Nordic hydro balance. Unstable weather in early summer brought rains across the Nordics, which pushed the price level closer to the beginning of the pricing period.
Higher winter heating demand will keep the price level higher compared to summer. However, compared to recent years' winter price levels, the price has remained lower due to moderate fuel prices and good Central European gas storage conditions during the pricing period. Towards the end of the period, fuel prices for electricity production rose again, partly due to the tense situation in the Middle East.
According to the sales terms SME 2024 section 8.3, the seller has the right to change the price of the sales contract if changes in the seller's electricity procurement costs are the reason. The "Louna Vehreä" electricity contract is valid until further notice and can be terminated with a two-week notice period according to SME 2024 section 8.8.

Climate-friendly electricity contract
The contract's electricity is 100% renewable energy. It is produced in an environmentally friendly and emission-free way with wind energy, hydropower and biomass. By choosing the Tuulitakuu service, you get 100% of your electricity as wind energy.
The Turku Energia Terms of Electricity Sales shall be applied to this contract. The up-to-date list of Electricity Sales service charges is available at the same page.
The contract will expire at the end of the term. If the customer has not entered into a new fixed-term contract, we will secure the customer's supply of electricity with a new non-fixed-term contract for an electricity sales product that is in accordance with our obligation to deliver.
The annual amount of energy in the consumer customer's electricity contract can be a maximum of 60,000 kWh. If the consumer customer's annual consumption exceeds the above-mentioned amount, the contract is exchanged for one that better corresponds to the consumption amount. Additional services
Your electricity is produced with 100% renewable energy. However, you can do some extra environmental work by subscribing to the Ekotakuu Extra service. The service collects funds for the Finnish Nature Heritage Foundation for protecting forests in Southwest Finland.
The price of the service is €0.51/month, which will be billed on your electricity bill. You can opt for the service when making an electricity contract or by contacting our customer service. The Ekotakuu Extra service is valid until further notice and follows the validity of the electricity contract.
With the Tuulitakuu service, you ensure that your electricity is clean wind power. Through the service, the energy of your electricity contract is produced 100% by wind power.
The price of the service is €2.94/month, which will be billed on your electricity bill. You can opt for the service when making an electricity contract or by contacting our customer service.
